Leasing Gathers Momentum at Mixed-Use Serving Future D.C.-Area Master-Planned Community

Crown is the newest master-panned community in Montgomery County, Md.Gaithersburg, Md. — JBG Rosenfeld Retail is close to a deal with Harris Teeter, a 40,000-square-foot gym and three restaurants at Downtown Crown, a mixed-use center with 260,000 square feet of national, local and regional retail and 540 apartment homes that will break ground in May.

Downtown Crown will serve the Crown development, a182-acre parcel west of I-270 that includes more than 2,200 new homes, several acres of parks, trails, a future high school and a future transit stop on the Corridor City Transit Way, which is a proposed Maryland light rail system. Crown West, Crown Central and Crown East will open in phases between October 2013 and early 2014.
