North Port, Fla. — A joint venture between West Villages and The Sembler Co. has broken ground on West Villages Marketplace, a neighborhood shopping center located at the corner of West Villages Parkway and US-41/South Tamiami Trail in North Port.
The 105,000-square-foot retail plaza will be anchored by a 47,000 square-foot Publix Supermarket, featuring a full-service pharmacy and a large bakery and deli. Additional tenants will include Heartland Dental, Sparkle Brite Pools, a Japanese/Thai restaurant, China1, All Star Laundry and a nail salon. 7-Eleven has also leased one of the outparcels along Tamiami Trail for a gas station and convenience store. The center is scheduled for completion in fall 2019.
