George Smith Partners Secures $17.5 Million in Financing for Three California Retail Centers

Fresno and Clovis, Calif. — Manchester North Shopping Center, one of the centers, is a 103,563-square-foot retail center anchored by Dollar Tree and Hometown Buffet.

George Smith Partners has arranged $17.5 million in financing, including $5.93 million for additional construction financing on behalf of its client, Highpoint Capital Group LLC, for the acquisition and renovation of a three-property retail portfolio totaling more than 280,000 square feet in the Fresno-Clovis area of California. Gallery Plaza is a 66,138-square-foot retail center located adjacent to the Macerich Fashion Fair Mall. Gallery Plaza was previously anchored by World Market (a subsidiary of Bed, Bath & Beyond). Manchester North Shopping Center is a 103,563-square-foot retail center located in Fresno. Manchester North is anchored by Dollar Tree and Hometown Buffet. Rodeo Plaza is a 111,072-square-foot retail center located in Clovis. Current tenants include a newly renovated Applebee’s, the AMF bowling alley Rodeo Lanes, and Kaplan College, a trade school.
