CBL & Associates to Renovate Three Malls

Chattanooga, Tenn. — Upgrades to Friendly Center, Greenbrier Mall and The Mall of Acadiana will begin by March.

The Mall of Acadiana in Lafayette, La.Chattanooga, Tenn.  — CBL & Associates Properties Inc., based in Chattanooga, will complete multi-million dollar renovations to three of the company’s market-dominant centers. The 2013 projects scheduled to undergo improvements include Friendly Center in Greensboro, N.C., Greenbrier Mall in Chesapeake, Va., and The Mall of Acadiana in Lafayette, La. Construction will begin by March and end by the 2013 holiday season.

“Renovating our malls is an ongoing priority for CBL,” says Stephen Lebovitz, president and CEO of CBL & Associates Properties. “These enhancements ensure that each mall remains a top shopping destination, attracting great new retail and restaurant names and creating a shopping experience that consumers will enjoy.”

Friendly Center’s renovation will include updated walkway canopies and landscaping. Greenbrier Mall will receive new upper-level carpet, paint, restroom upgrades and landscaping improvements. In addition, Greenbrier Mall will have an upgraded food court with new tables and chairs. The Mall of Acadiana will receive upgraded entrances, restrooms and food court. The mall will also undergo design improvements including new paint, décor and graphics, as well as new amenities such as soft seating areas.
