Gainesville, Fla. — Butler North, a 754,000-square-foot addition to Butler Plaza in Gainesville, is 77 percent leased with an additional 17 percent in negotiation.
Lowe’s will open in January, followed by Sam’s Club in July, Walmart Supercenter in August and Dick’s Sporting Goods in fall 2016. Small shops and additional junior anchors will open throughout the year. Butler North is located on Clark Butler Boulevard, a new four-lane highway running parallel to I-75.
The opening of Butler North signals the beginning of construction on the next phase of development, a 350,000-square-foot Butler Town Square set to open in 2017. Upon completion, Butler Plaza, Butler North and Butler Town Center will comprise approximately 2,000,000 square feet of retail situated on 267 contiguous acres.
