BIG USA Enters Missouri with Creekwood Commons Acquisition

Kansas City, Mo. – Previous owner Copaken Brooks retains a 10 percent interest and will lease and manage the center.

Kansas City, Mo. – BIG Shopping Centers USA has entered the Missouri retail market with its acquisition of a 90 percent interest in Creekwood Commons, a 206,000-square-foot shopping center in Kansas City’s Northland submarket. Previous owner Copaken Brooks retains a 10 percent interest and will lease and manage the center. Creekwood Commons is 100 percent occupied, and co-anchored by a Hy-Vee supermarket and a Gordmans department store. Other notable tenants include Party City, 24-Hour Fitness, Famous Footwear, Mattress Firm, Panera Bread and Chipotle.
