The 120,000-square-foot store, which will feature an Uncle Buck's Fishbowl and Grill, will be located at the intersection of Interstate 80 and Sierra College Boulevard. The store will be a primary anchor for the 500,000-square-foot, mixed-use Rocklin Crossings that is being developed by Donahue Schriber. The store is scheduled to open in 2015.

This will be the company's fourth store in California. Currently, Bass Pro Shops operates stores in Rancho Cucamonga and Manteca, Calif. They recently announced a new store locating in San Jose.

Rocklin, which is located in Placer County, is part of the Sacramento metropolitan area. It's situated between the western base of the Sierra Nevada Mountain range and the Sacramento Valley. The history of the area can be traced back to California's gold rush days. The Bass Pro Shops at the Rocklin Crossings site will draw from an extended region along the I-80 corridor to accommodate the outlying suburban and rural customers in addition to those en route to the area's many outdoor opportunities.

Nationally, Bass Pro Shops will host more than 116 million people visiting their 84 stores and marine centers across America and Canada this year. The average customer stays two and a half hours and drives an average distance of 50-plus miles.
