GBT to Develop $20 Million Center near Louisville

Site work on Woodland Commons is nearly 50 percent complete and vertical construction on the 126,000-square-foot development that is 90 percent leased will be underway by Oct. 1.Elizabethtown, Ky. – GBT Realty Corporation has purchased more than 13 acres to develop the $20 million project Woodland Commons, a community retail center located south of Louisville, Kentucky, in Elizabethtown. Site work is nearly 50 percent complete and vertical construction on the 126,000-square-foot development that is 90 percent leased will be underway by Oct. 1. Seller Woodland Partnership acquired the property in July. Hobby Lobby and Academy Sports + Outdoors, each approximately 60,000 square feet, will anchor the shopping center. An additional 8,800 square feet of small shop space ideal for soft goods, fast casual dining and services is available. The site also includes one outparcel, for which GBT Realty is currently negotiating with a fast casual restaurant. The center will be completed by spring 2015. The development team includes Haines Gipson and Associates Engineers, MJM Architects, Kelsey Construction and TD Farrell Construction.
